Enmity with God in the Church « As The Days Of Noah Were…

This is really how I feel. What has happened? So many false teachers have taken the fear of God out of the minds of Christians. The Apostle Paul persuaded people to turn to Christ and obey Him because he knew the terror of God Almighty! Fear God!

Luke 12:And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Enmity with God in the Church

The lack of fear of God has brought in so much worldliness and compromise within the Church it’s shocking. Every disobedient thing seems to be acceptable, whether it’s yoga, transcendental meditation (in the name of Jesus, if that’s not going beyond the limit then I don’t know that is!), live-in relations, night clubs, witchcraft/vampire-themed movies, etc. The list is endless. Why have Christians failed to recognize the enemy? Why are they so ready to believe a compromised gospel rather than the Gospel that says “do not love the world or the things therein” (1John 2:15)? The Lord was not using a figure of speech when He spoke through James saying, “know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God“? (James 4:4) Which “god” do you go to sing to on Sunday mornings? A god whose love is so overtly emphasized that he’s turned into a Santa Claus? A god who’s so “love-sick” that he’s begging you to love him back? That’s the not God of the Bible! We’re supposed to be on our knees begging Him for love; yet He’s so merciful He took the initiative to endow His love on us! He has not removed His indignation and fearful wrath from the disobedient and the half Christians (Rom 1:18).

If you do a research or at least look around in this site, you’ll find that this world is run by the Evil. He’s doing all he can to take as many souls as he can with him into the lake of fire. He’s created lewd entertainment, unjust politics and government, texts books teaching lies about history and science, false doctrines, false teachers, false “Christian” interpretations, New Age gurus,  confused gender roles, fairy tales, manifestations of aliens. Again the list is endless. Do you still not comprehend why the only wise and all-knowing God would tell His chosen sheep to stay away from the wolves territory? Are Satan’s strategies hid from Him? Why is every generation worse than the previous? Christians are perishing because of the lack of knowledge. It’s too difficult for them to give up the “fun” the god of this world has to offer. I often can’t tell the difference between a christian and a heathen. That’s the most shameful thing ever!

Fear God. And by fear I mean be afraid of Him. Enough of the mushy god the terrifying God is turned into. Because false teachers have managed to take out the fear of God from the minds of Christians, they are involved in every evil work because they think God is love and not to be feared. The Apostle Paul persuaded people to turn to Christ and obey Him because he knew the terror of God Almighty.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men… (2Cor 5:10,11)

It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Heb 0:31)

This is holy fear, and not manipulation. Keep away from the things of this world; the things that make your flesh happy but grieves your spirit and the Holy Spirit. The only truth is the Gospel, everything else is a deception!

Matthew 7:13-14

Matthew 7:13-14

King James Version (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus’ message to the followers: John 12:24-26, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour."
